We had been in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming for a few days just to be in the back country. My wife and I both take great solace in the solitude of remote mountains. Just outside of Walsenburg, Colorado a great storm was brewing. I remember the temperatures were dropping rapidly and the wind, as it often in along the plains, coming off the mountains and ahead of a storm front ver very brisk. I attached the camera to the tripod in the shelter of my Bronco's cargo area, attached the lens and set the camera up hard against the fence line. Made an exposure calculation, inserted the film holder and made the exposure during a temporary lull in the gusts of wind. i used a Toyo 45A camera, 90mm Sinaron lens with a #21 Dark Orange filter and used Kodak T-max 100 film.
