The Frauenkirche (officially the Church of Our Lady) is a Protestant church located on the Neumarkt in Dresden. The domed structure, standing 91 meters tall, was built between 1726 and 1743 by George Bähr, commissioned by the city council. Following its destruction in 1945, the Frauenkirche remained a ruin until it was rebuilt between 1993 and 2005. It is one of the city's most famous landmarks and one of the most significant examples of Baroque architecture.
