The State Library Unter den Linden was built between 1903 and 1914 in the Neo-Baroque style, based on designs by Ernst Ihne. A complete renovation and expansion of the library complex took place from 2005 to 2019. Since German reunification in 1990, it has housed parts of the Berlin State Library and the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
