Market Church in Wiesbaden

The Neo-Gothic Marktkirche (Market Church) in Wiesbaden is the main Protestant church of the Hessian state capital. Built between 1853 and 1862 by Carl Boos on Schlossplatz as the "Nassau State Cathedral," it was the largest brick structure in the Duchy of Nassau at the time. Inside, the church measures 50 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and 28 meters in height, and is encircled by galleries. The vaulted ceiling is painted to resemble a starry sky.
