… with staircase, in the Bode Museum in Berlin.
The Bode Museum (originally: Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum) in Berlin-Mitte is part of the ensemble of buildings on Museum Island and is therefore a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Commissioned by Kaiser Wilhelm II and built by Ernst Ihne between 1898 and 1904 in the neo-baroque style, it houses the sculpture collection, the Museum of Byzantine Art and the Coin Cabinet. On the forecourt was the equestrian statue of Frederick III by Rudolf Maison, which was destroyed during the GDR era. A sculpture by Markus Lüpertz currently stands in front of the Bode Museum. In 2019, the Bode Museum recorded around 260,000 visitors.
