Top 10 WeeklyFstop Photos: Gold

Top 10 WeeklyFstop Photos: Gold

The end of this color trifecta of themes is another great one featuring a precious metal in a number of different forms. The wide variety and quality of submissions in this list make it easily worth its weight in gold.

The tale of the Midas Touch sheds lights on how greed can blind us from what is truly important. To me, the most important thing is easily my family. I recently had the pleasure of blowing my ACL playing soccer which resulted in surgery and now has me pretty laid up recovering. I have been at the complete mercy of everyone around me and realize now that my health is a critical factor in making sure my family runs smoothly. Getting back to playing in the yard with my boys is now my top priority. I'm confident I'll be there.

Gold is a perfect fit for a photo theme because it has so many possibilities. I hope you like what we've come up with.

Wow, thank you so much! I was planning and testing for this shot for some time, and as I remember we nailed the moment, as usually there was crazy amount of people there. And some girls passing by went "omg, omg!" , when I took a knee in front of her, as they thought I was proposing :-P

I've definitely seen this location before, you certainly made it yours. Way to get low for the shot.

great shot Konrad! Terrific images all around and thanks for the recognition.

You're welcome Chris!

Great shots everyone! Glad the article is back, and hope you are feeling a little better and resting Michael.

Thanks Jeff! A little better every day.

Fantastic image Konrad, golden in fact. Thanks again Michael, it's certainly an honour to be included in this quality list.

Thank you for shout out Michael, so many great shots, and congratulations to Konrad for taking the gold in “gold “ competition.

thx for getting my buckingham palace into the H.M.

some ideas for next themes:
shadows
darkness (/lowkey)
contrast
geometry
details/macro
three of a kind
animals
nighttime
long exposures
low/high angle
symmetry
sky
lucky snapshots (coincidence or shots that were a failure but looked pretty good afterwards - for example defocus/shutterspeed to long) (of course then only older shots because one cannot force coincidences haha)

You're very welcome! Great suggestions too. Thanks for taking the time to do that.

It was 3 AM, I'm not sure what to do, so I decided to look if the weekly contest results are out.

OH, IT'S OUT!

I started scrolling down, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, such amazing pictures. I started thinking, there's no way my picture going to make the top 10. I'd be super glad if it's in the 'Honorable Mentions'.

But, 2?! WOW.. I started to jump around the room.

Awesome pictures from Top 10 to the HM
Thank you so much for the recognition!

Sincerely, an amateur from Indonesia :D
*sorry for my English

I'm a huge fan of simplicity and minimalism. Your shot stood out to me and was ranked accordingly. So glad to hear it was well received! Congrats Peter :)

Man, it means a lot to me. Anyway, speedy recovery for your knee..
