It was a productive morning at Fervenzas de Reixidoira, a place I hadn't visited in quite some time. I focused on finding fresh angles to bring a sense of novelty compared to the photos I captured years ago.
While exploring, I spotted this tiny mushroom on a fallen log lying on the riverbed. Incorporating it into the composition proved challenging, but I liked how it contrasted with the waterfall in the distance. Though the waterfall appears small and far away, the juxtaposition with the delicate, even smaller mushroom adds a unique charm to the image.
The setting was quite dark—cloudy skies provided little natural light, creating a subdued and moody atmosphere. But this only added to the sense of serenity and stillness of the scene.
Álvaro, wonderful scene, great colour and exposure! A lot going on, any other variations? Have you heard the expression … sometimes less is more.
Thank you Paul!
Sometimes it's difficult to apply that expression in the forest. There are a lot of things in the scene and I think the point is trying to get chaos ordered.
I have several shots from that morning so you will see more during next weeks!
