After an intense week in the stunning landscapes of the Euskadi and Navarra, I returned with not only a bunch of photos but even more amazing memories. One of my goals was to capture the elusive beauty of trees—a challenging subject due to the "visual noise" of branches, leaves, and undergrowth that often complicates composition in forests.
I’m thrilled with the results, as I was fortunate to experience two foggy mornings in places like Urbasa and Opakua. The mist helped simplify the scene, erasing distractions and adding a magical atmosphere. This particular shot had been on my mind for a while, requiring just the right conditions.
Upon arriving at Urbasa, I spotted this tree and used Photopills to map the sun's path, allowing me to align the sun precisely within a gap framed by the trunk and branches. As the fog blanketed the background, the sun rose, reaching the correct position and dyeing the scene with a beautiful golden light.
