Yesterday, I returned to Playa de Campelo. I love this location —one I might have overvisited, but I felt the urge to go back. I wanted to continue testing the Brightin Star 16mm lens, which the Brightin Star team sent me a couple of weeks ago.
For this shot, I focused on capturing the silky trails left by the retreating waves as they wrapped around the rocks. What really caught my attention was the visual parallel between the nearest rock and the distant peak rising from the water, forming a diamond-like shape that naturally guides the eye through the composition.
Anticipating the sun’s trajectory, I knew it would eventually touch the distant rock, creating a sunstar effect. I was eager to see how this lens would handle it, and I was pleasantly surprised by the well-defined rays. Even though the effect wasn’t fully complete due to the sun’s intensity, I decided to keep it in the frame—it added an extra dimension to the scene.
