Arrows to the Sky

Today is one of those cozy afternoons spent at home, as a fierce storm brings strong winds and heavy rain to Galicia.

I had hoped to head to the coast, but caution is crucial on days like today, and the right choice has been to stay indoors.

This weather brought to mind an incredible location I visited recently—on stormy days with rough seas, the waves crash violently against the cliffs, almost reaching the lighthouse.

I remembered I had some unpublished photos from a sunset session a few weeks ago, so I decided to review them.

In this photo, I aimed to use the jagged rocks to guide the viewer's eye toward the Punta Frouxeira lighthouse and the entrance to the military tunnels. The last rays of sunlight illuminated the rugged cliffs, creating a dramatic interplay of light and shadow that enhanced their sharp edges and intricate shapes.

The sky that evening was truly amazing, painted in golden tones as it transitioned into magenta, filling the clouds with beautiful textures and hues.

I’ll definitely return to this spot; I believe it still hides countless compositions waiting to be discovered.
