Here’s a shot from another session at Punta Frouxeira, an intricate maze of sharp, jagged rocks that offer endless creative possibilities. Composing in a place like this can be quite challenging, as the rocks aren’t “placed” where you’d ideally want them to be. It becomes a process of arranging elements as best as possible to guide the viewer’s eye toward key points of interest—in this case, the lighthouse and the entrance of the old military tunnel.
We were incredibly lucky that evening—the rain held off just long enough for a quick visit, and the sky exploded with beautiful colors. The composition might feel a bit unconventional, but I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
