Drone Camera Shoots Super Slick Skater Video "Firefly"

Firefly is a super slick skater video shot with a JamCopter, a remote controlled helicopter rigged with a camera, that follows a skater and his LED lit board around a city.

The birds eye perspective and high camera angle shots create some really nice movements and give scale to the skaters journey. The project was created by samadhiproduction.cz and utilizes the use of remote controlled helicopters from jamcopters.cz.

Very cool, very slick, very simple.

"Fire Flight" Slow Motion Dancers At 1000fps

Fire Flight is a promotional music video featuring the dancers from The Phoenix Dance Theatre in Leeds, England. The project was shot on the Phantom Flex camera at 1,000 frames per second. Director Greg Clarks' idea was to shoot the dancers at a high frame rate and drop in CGI fire to give them the look of being set alight. The video features the Phoenix dancers, directed by the Uber Agency, produced by Ink Films and VFX & Fire from VTR North.

Thrill Seeking Kayakers & A Photographer Chase Hot Lava

Extreme action photographer Alexandre Socci and a team of professional kayakers Pedro Oliva, Ben Stookesberry and Chris Korbulic do not seem to fear much.

This digital camera boasts the ability to shoot stills (3 megapixel) and video (640 x 480) within a 6x6x8 inch box.

If you happen to run out of juice and don't have access to the sun, flip out the handle and start winding the camera by hand. The unit can also be charged via USB 3.0.

There is something really beautiful about Alejandro Guijarro's ongoing Momentum series. It is not big and bold and in your face, it's quite simple and surreal.

At first the photographs present themselves to be mundane classroom blackboards with scribbles across the surface, resembling notes left behind from a previous class. The difference is that these chalkboards house the notes to some of the biggest brains in quantum physics from around the globe.

Photographer Narrowly Escapes Crocodile Attack

Would you ever turn your back on a river full of roaming crocodiles while your cohorts chucked food into the water? I wouldn't either, but this photographer at the “Crocodile Bridge” over the Tarcoles River in Costa Rica, got a close look at one of the river beasts while perched in the grass.

Hasselblad + Beer = Good stuff.

In this behind the scenes video, commercial photographer Rob Grimm and Phlearn, co-created a tutorial around the set of a beer photo shoot. Grimm does a great job explaining the lighting being used on set, how he works around reflections on glass with polarizers, how he creates highlights in the beer bottle and why chopsticks are necessary to make cereal malt beverages look crisp on camera.
