This used to be the meeting room of the House of Representatives. The hall looks like a Greek theater.
Between the columns are real marble statues of emperors, politicians and statesmen from ancient Rome.
Today, the sessions of the Federal Assembly as well as the joint ceremonial and commemorative sessions of the National Council and the Federal Council take place here. Important guests and other visitors can take their seats in the galleries.
The hall is of great significance, as important Austrian politicians and important statesmen from other countries who played a significant role in European politics after the First and Second World Wars sat here at the time.
