Pinakothek of Modern Art in Munich

The architect Stephan Braunfels designed the modern and open building, which was unanimously considered a success by architecture critics and could only be built because sufficient funds could be collected beforehand. The Pinakothek of Moderne Art was opened on September 16, 2002. Inside the white structure made of exposed concrete, the rotunda can be seen in the center. The total diameter of the rotunda is 30 meters.The picture shows the rotunda when looking down from the second floor.
