Walking out of a deep canyon in Southern Utah I was struck by the early afternoon sun striking this dome and the deep shadows cast on the wall below it. There were storm clouds gathering to the southwest of my location, and it's never good to be in one of these canyons when a thunderstorm looses rain up drainage. You can get chest deep in water moving very quickly and if you wait too long there is no escape. So in the fall, when there are storm clouds in the southwest the best idea is to beat feet out. I used a Canon 6D camera with a Canon 24-105L lens. Camera was steadied using an Induro carbon fiber tripod with a Velbon 3 way magnesium head. The original image was uploaded using Light Room and then processed using Photoshop. No apps were injured in the processing of this image.
