This is a portrait of a young woman in a traditional greek dress. This is an authentic costume that dates from the 1890's. It belongs in a private collection and I had the chance to take a picture of it before being submitted to a museum. It's a dress fit for an unmarried woman, hence the coins on it that are there for potential husbands to see. The makeup was simple and we tried to have a natural look as someone would expect from a girl in the 1890's. This is a studio portrait using a 4 light setup. The key light was a beauty dish. For fill I used a small softbox while for rim light I used a stripbox. The background was subtly lit with a speedlight and a small grid. It was shot on Canon eosR using the Canon ef 100mm f/2.8L is macro lens.
