This black headed heron was hunting on the beach dunes opposite my apartment one mid summers afternoon. A slow cautious approach was necessary so as not to scare the bird into flying away. With the fujifilm XT4 set to f5.6, ISO 160 and 1/500 sec and the zoom lens extended to 122 mm i was able to blur the back ground with the paddle surfer in the frame. Needless to say the heron digested its furry meal with ease.
