This was never a shot I expected to take that day. I was at my local track (PIR) in Portland Oregon. I was leaving the pits at a moto GP style race heading to a different part of the track, This was on the walk over. I still had my 70-200 with a 2x mounted ready for some more motorcycle action. I saw the thistles and bees the colors were great and it was between heats, why not? Never saw this a picture I would shoot at the track.
