Taken with a Canon 80D and 70-300L with the camera held basically on the waterline shooting directly across the lake. Took a couple of hundred shots of birds that day and this was the single only shot that for some reason had this bokeh on it. All real, no AI, and I'm still not sure what caused the bokeh!

I know this type of bokeh. I think it's tiny droplets of water on your lens. When the sun hits it just right you get these big balls all over the image. I had it often at the sea when shooting against the light having lots of saltwater in the air and on my lens.
