This is a shot of banksia flower taken in Blue Mountains in Australia. There was a rainy night before I visited the location, however clouds cleared and sun was quickly drying the moisture up from vegetation. I noticed this flower at an ankle height where sun did not reach, there were numerous twigs and lots of foliage obscuring access. I used my wife assistance to gently bend some twigs that were in the way. I screwed in Marumi close-up adapter onto Sony FE24-105 lens ( SonyAIV body ) for ability to crop tightly. Then carefully moved in the camera towards the target trying not to disturb water droplets. I was aware of a very shallow DOF, available natural light allowed to close the aperture to F9. I did not want to reduce it further to preserve low ISO. All action was performed at an awkward and uncomfortable body position due to muddy path in front of the object and low and recessed flower location. Post processing included minor sharpening, contrast boost and saturation
