This photo of a Magnificent Frigatebird was taken on a small beach immediately south of Punta Cormorant on Isla Floreana in the Galapagos.
Often a photo of a Frigatebird is of them flying up in the sky. It was with some luck and a bit a skill that I captured this photo. As we got ready to leave the beach and return to the ship I was taking a few last photo when my wife quietly yelled "to your left and flying". Had the briefest of moments to swing the camera, found the bird and started tracking it as it flew right. Only got a few photos, but one was a keeper.
