Bird Island Nature Reserve is a 3-hectare (7.4-acre) nature reserve in Lambert's Bay, South Africa. It is an important breeding site for the endangered Cape gannet and crowned cormorant.
This photo was taken from the Gannet Lookout/hide. The smell of guano was overpowering and even burned your nostrils when you inhaled.

In your travels, have you ever visited Lambertsbaai on the Weskus?
Yes when i was in the Voortrekkers, many moons ago , 45 BC (Before Camera)
Will definitely visit on next occasion . I’ve however been to the northern gannet colonies in Gaspésie (1yBC)
