A photo of the Milky Way taken at 11:20 PM in August at the Forgetmenot Pond in the Little Elbow Provincial Recreation Area in Kananaskis Country Alberta Canada.
This is summer in Canada and needless to say we had to battle many mosquitos while we waited for the sun to set and the Milky Way become visible.
We chose this location to hopefully capture a reflection of the Milky Way in the pond.
The photo is comprised of 15 light frames merged together in Starry Landscape Stacker and was edited in Photoshop using RC Astro's StarXTerminator in order to reduce the amount of stars and better show the nebulosity of the Milky Way.
