Threatened by Extinction

The Großglockner - with 3798 m, it is the highest mountain in the Austrian alps.

Below it, you can see the Pasterze, that is the name of the glacier, which is less than 7 km long (2017). It still carries the title "biggest glacier in the eastern alps" though. In the year of 2006 this glacier was more than 8 km long. It is predictated to be gone in the next 40 years.
