Somewhere in the Berchtesgadener alps,
somewhere on a beautiful green meadow,
there lies this lonely mountain hut,
waiting for the next snow to turn up.
I have never been to the Dolomites, I only know them through the photographs and snapshots you see on social media every day. I have never been there though it would only take me three and a half hours with my car. But when I first came to this location, I thought why drive down there when I have so many beautiful mountains right here in Austria and they are not even overcrowded. Some day, probably during autumn, I will visit the Dolomites but for now the Austrian alps are more than enough for me. There are more mountains here than I will probably ever hike on anyway.
