On our latest hike along the glacier of the highest Austrian mountain, the Großglockner, we found this beautiful Icecave.
It was one of the most amazing experiences in my life so far. Adrenaline was rushing through my body. I kept asking myself these questions over and over again: Will it hold? Will it break? What will happen? Outside, the temperature was rising, inside, the ice was melting rapidly.
I hiked in and quickly found a suitable composition to photograph. It was really important to me that you could see the water dropping of the ice ceiling. The small stream worked as the main leading line. I pressed the shutter, took a look around and went out again. Probably took me less than five minutes but it was absolutely extraordinary.
