Earlier this year, commercial photographer Lars Schneider was followed by a camera on a trip to the Faroe Islands to document his “other life” as a landscape photographer. The resulting video gives us insight into what his professional lifestyle entails and the change of pace enjoyed when shooting landscapes for personal fulfillment rather than clientele.

Oftentimes, while tending to mundane household or business-related tasks, I glance out the window and say to myself, "It is way too beautiful a day out today for you to not go out and photograph something!" It's a wonderful sentiment that many shooters have, I'm certain. I wish I could say that it is with regularity that I throw my camera bag into the backseat and make some dust. I usually don't.

Eugene Smith, Ralph Gibson, Richard Avedon, and Walker Evans. In this two-part video produced by Profoto, Seliger takes us behind the scenes of a recent shoot with rock icon, Lenny Kravitz.

All great timelapses typically take a long time to produce and this piece is no exception. Justin Majeczky spent over 18 months on this project scouting locations, exploring angles, and taking over 20,000 photos for his Sacramento timelapse. During an initial meeting with local publication NFocus Magazine, the Editor-In-Chief asked for a unique aesthetic on Louisville's theater and arts community and wanted a massive group shot, but not your traditional group shot. On camera we can be as perfect as the lighting setup and editing allows us to be! Magic? No. We still need gorgeous models but a great setup certainly helps.
