Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of years, you’re probably familiar with LensRentals.com, which is one of the most popular camera gear rental shops in the world, if not the most popular. We recently had the chance to sit down with the LensRentals team and learn everything about what just might be photography’s most fascinating company.

A user on the popular social website Reddit was the first to bring our attention to this enormous Photoshop fail. A recent Target advertisement left one of the models sporting a little something extra. You won't believe your eyes when you see this, nor will you believe that somehow, nobody caught the mistake.

Here's a fun Saturday morning activity for you - try your hand at lighting a virtual model in this Virtual Lighting Studio. It's pretty simple, and very addicting. For each light, you'll choose the source - a bare strobe, softbox, or ringlight. Then just decide the power, gel colors, placement and distance.

I don't know if it really is the smallest camera in the world like makers Hammacher Schlemmer claim, but it's probably the smallest camera that looks like a camera! It's powerful 2 megapixel sensor can capture still images at 1600 x 1200 resolution and captures video at 30 fps at 640 x 480 resolution. It even has built-in autofocus!

At long last, the scientific breakthrough many of us have long been waiting for: A pill that we can take to get us out of an editing slump, increase creativity, or help us deal with clients. But beware: side effects may include high blood pressure, insomnia, color blindness, neck pain, and occasional dizziness.

The web is abuzz with comparison articles on which $3000 DSLR camera is the best bang for the buck. Kevin Good with CrisisLab recently did a side by side comparison of the Canon 5D Mark III and the Nikon D800 in several real world tests. His tests include Resolution, Rolling Shutter, High ISO Test, and Durability. Each test was conducted to the highest of standards and perhaps might be the most scientific review I've seen yet. Now off to Craigslist to find me some models!

Randy Gregg has started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the development of a digital camera that is built to look just like a hunting rifle. It's completely non-lethal, and pulling the trigger will store your images, complete with crosshair overlay, onto an SD card. For hunters and law enforcement this might be useful, but something tells me I won't see this in a lineup next to a bunch of DSLRs when shooting public events. You may recall that Rob Ashe and his fellow post gurus who work on the Conan O'Brien Show publicly bashed Final Cut X a while back. They've returned with a new video, proclaiming their love for Adobe Premiere, or as Rob refers to it, Final Cut Pro 8. Final Cut X has had several updates since it's initial release, but is it still lacking? Have you made the switch? Are you cutting home movies in 4K?

If you grew up during the late 1980s through early 1990s, then you can remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Using a combination of action figures, about 60 hand-drawn backdrops, and over 4,000 individual images, director Kyle Roberts pays tribute to this classic cartoon with a stop motion animation. This is one you won't want to miss.

With a lot of the recent Photoshop screwups we've all seen in the media, people have been asking us what some of the before shots look like and what post processing goes into a cover photo. We'll, here it is.

In this hilarious spoof on Dell Inspiron, European photographer, Clayton Sotos, begins explaining that his father bought him a camera out of the blue and he’s been taking photos ever since. From there he blabbers on about how using Dell products helps him to communicate his passion or whatever (00:001-02:00). Then… it gets weird. I won’t spoil the joke—you just have to watch the video. (And no, Dell didn’t actually produce it.) Enjoy!

Internet MEMEs are a common occurance throughout most of our social media outlets. Today my Facebook feed has been full of this funny MEME which tries to portray how photographers are seen through the eyes of their friends, society, and their clients. I've posted a few of these What People Think Photographers Do MEMEs to help lighten up your week.

Have you ever noticed when you are hanging out with another photographer, your non photography friends absolutely hate you? This video had me laughing a few times because like it or not we all sound like this from time to time. After you watch this, leave your favorite photographer cliche in the comments.

Maybe it's even pixel pushing late nights to get that rounded corner perfect on a login tab for your clients website, we all are addicted to PHOTOSHOP.

It's always good humor when someone makes a career path diagram outlining possible jobs within a particular field. If you aren't sure about whether your skills are best utilized as a Director, Studio Head, Screenwriter, Producer, or Film Critic then this is a great starting point. Hopefully someone makes one based on art buying and photography publishing.

I'm not sure what has gotten into Chase Jarvis lately. First he decided to be a judge for our 2011 Behind The Scenes Contest. Next he flies over to Hong Kong to test a new Lego camera. And now I come to find that he's running his own "Will It Blend" campaign with the brand new Polaroid Z340 instant digital camera.

I've taken quite a few stock images in my life and it's always been funny to me what sells and what doesn't. Usually the most popular images don't really make much sense in real life. One of our readers just sent me this group of hilarious stock images with dialog boxes.

I had a hunch but it has now been confirmed that Canon and Vincent Laforet have teamed up to trick the worlds consumers into buying new camera equipment. Apparently to use a camera properly you need to have talent and original ideas but Canon has failed to put either in the box with any of their cameras.
