Blossom – We wanted to use the cherry trees in full bloom and fortunately caught the perfect weather. The sun behind my model coming through the pink petals and a near-white building behind me meant perfect lighting without any modification. The Lens-combo on my EOS R was cheap to say least, sporting a Canon 50mm 1.8 STM and a IQ JAPAN wide angle/tele-Adapter which I found in my uncles attic some years ago. Buying these both used today would not even set you back 100$ and I think for that the image look is outstanding, sporting quite some sharpness, even if it's only in the very center (which is also the reason for this composition, because I needed her eyes to be dead center).

Brilliant, well thought-out composition. Beautiful editing with the colours and you're right. That lighting was fantastic. I'm a huge fan of this circular bokeh that you're getting from this. I've never seen this on one of my Canon 50mm F1.8 's but maybe it's the adapter ring giving a new look to it! Very cool bokeh.

Thank you for the feedback!
Yes, the circular swirley bokeh is created by the IQ Japan adapter. Definitely way cheaper than getting a Petzval or comparable lens ;) and this one even keeps the AF of the original lens.
