One featured photographer almost had to be disqualified after turning in multiple entries. Luckily they both rocked and the show went on!

Wedding Photography Tip: Fight For Your Artistic Vision

Today, it is pretty common for a couple getting married to hire both a wedding photographer and videographer. When I meet a videographer for the first time I usually try to feel him or her out and figure out the best way that we can work together as team. In most cases we can both work to create great memories for our clients, but, if the videographer happens to step into my shot and ruin a picture, I have no choice but to begin to punch him in the face. If he attempts to fight back I am then forced to smash his video camera. This may be a little hard to understand so check out the video below for a great example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLK0TbVY6Ik<
Photographing Rainbows and Moonbows At Yosemite National Park

This video was emailed to us and I when I watched it I thought "wow I've never seen anything like this before!" We've all seen rainbows and you've probably had your fair share of experiences taking images of them. What's so interesting about this video is it showcases the elusive "moonbow" formed as moonlight passes through the mist created by waterfalls. Yosemite National Park is known for it's amazing rock formations, waterfalls, and forests but few people know how beautiful it can look after the sun has set.
Initial Investigation / Reports Suggest liveBooks Might be in Trouble

UPDATED: LIVEBOOKS ACQUIRED.
ORIGINAL STORY: While we don't like to lean heavily on rumors, our own investigations are pointing to some validity with regards to Vincent Laforet's recent article regarding liveBooks. liveBooks is one of the staples of the industry, providing seriously high end, powerful and great websites to photographers worldwide. However, Vincent's sleuthing (backed up by some emails I just sent to liveBooks) hints that all might not be well in the kingdom.

Fstoppers Reviews The K&F Concept's Explorer Backpack Travel Bag

When I received this bag I have to admit I had never heard of K&F Concept as a company before. A quick examination of the bag and I could see that this large travel backpack style bag wasn't something cheap you would pick up at Walmart.

Evoto: Maximizing Profits With Smart Choices in Photography

The more I see AI churn out headshots and portraits with twisted appendages and those weird, dead eyes, the less I'm sweating about artificial presences taking over the photography world. Why fight AI when you can make it work for you? So, instead of pushing it away, I've started using AI tools in my day-to-day. It's not replacing my job; it's just handling the mundane stuff.

There's no doubt that assisting is, hands down, the best way to really learn how to shoot professionally. Set etiquette is one thing that will come with time, but equally important are the little things that all add up and that will make you the best second pair of hands to have on set, second to none -- if you pay attention to these things. While everyone has their preferences, it's always a good idea to research different ways to do the same thing, and to then intelligently choose the best way you can find. DSLRVideoShooter's Caleb Pike took the time to share a few more general tips that are not just good suggestions, but that are absolutely essential to being a good assistant if you want to keep coming back.

Earlier this year, as COVID-19 was growing into the problem it is now, many photography trade shows were either canceled or postponed. This was a huge disappointment for many, including myself.
