Three Face Tower, Bisti Wilderness, New Mexico

A friend of mine and I were camped just outside the Bisti in Northern New Mexico. Camp water was literally frozen in the morning and the temps climbed into the low 90's in the day time. Multiply the heat as it reflects off the white sandstone and it is miserable. Then add the very tiny bitey bugs! I was waiting on my buddy trying to photograph a reluctant desert structure and I was jus looking for a shady spot when I saw this. Toyo 45A camera, 150mm Sinaron lens with a #25 Dark Red Filter, Kodak T-Max 100 Film.
