Backlit Fins, Valley of Fire, Nevada

This tiny area has the misfortune of being too close to Las Vegas, Nv and was, until recently, relatively unknown. Honestly I think it should be protected as a National Park, though the Nevada Park Rangers do protect it pretty diligently. Toyo 45A camera, 210mm Sironar-S lens, #61 Dark Green filter, Kodak T-Max 100 film. On this image I increased my processing time by 20% to build contrast and then toned the negative in a solution of Selenium Toner to increase contrast yet again.
