Starlit Dragon

Last weekend, we visited Punta Nariga to try our luck and capture some meteors from the Perseids shower. Although it wasn’t the peak night or the ideal time, I was determined to give it a shot.

I sought out a composition that drew me in, featuring a strong foreground element—the iconic dragon-shaped rock—with the radiant Perseus constellation above, which I located using the Photopills app. I took a few shots during the last moments of the blue hour to capture the foreground, then left my camera running for about 3 hours, taking continuous shots of the night sky.

For the post-processing, I experimented with a new software called Nebulb. It's quite effective at identifying meteors and filtering out other artifacts like satellites, planes and other strange objects. This really streamlined the process of selecting and identifying the meteors.

Here’s the final result—not an overwhelming number of meteors, but I’m really pleased with the experience and how it turned out.
