Last year Mercedes-Benz USA (@MBUSA) ran a very successful social media campaign using Instagram and some of its top influencers to spread the word about the new CLA which you can read about here. Now, they are at it again with a new approach on the much anticipated Mercedes GLA. What better way to advertise than to hit social media with some absolutely stunning adventure photos?
The campaign began with a small group of influencers and photographers from around the country with the simple post of what they would pack on an adventure in the new ride. These shots began popping up across feeds on Instagram early on preparing followers for the journey to come using the tag #GLAPacked. Then the adventures started, with photos from various photographers traveling the country in the new Mercedes. Not to mention they are of course giving away a 3 day trip via a contest on the main page in the GLA if you post a shot and tag it appropriately.
Where you are going says a lot. So does what you take with you.
For me, being a photographer and Instagram junky its always exciting to see some of these guys get the chance to work with top brands and share their own style for a brand they may not have ever been able to work with before. Now, some are against this new 'advertising' via Instagram but for me its a way for me to still enjoy my favorite photographers work just fitted to a brand they get the chance to work with. If you are interested in seeing more of the photos be sure to follow along @MBUSA and follow the tag #GLAPacked on Instagram for more incredible shots from their travels. Some of my favorite photographers are included in the bunch like Brenton Little (@brenton_clarke), Theron Humphrey (@thiswildidea) and the always lovable Cubby Graham (@cubbygraham).
