If you've explored the world of fine art paper and printing even the tiniest bit, then you've no doubt heard the name Hahnemühle. Today, I'll be taking a hands-on look at one of their newest papers in the FineArt line, the Photo Rag® Metallic. 

Selling your images online can be seriously complicated. You can try to submit images to some of the larger stock image marketplaces, but getting approved is tough. Even if you do get some of your images through, the marketplaces will take up to 85% of your royalties away from you. 

As a photographer, I have many of my photos in people's homes, usually as metal prints, because people seem to prefer them. Like most of you, I've got a lot of my work scattered around my house too, either as framed or metal prints.  

Google has already taken cameraphone technology to the next level with its initial offering of the 12.2-megapixel camera in the Pixel 3. Now, it has added stunning capability in low-light situations that might have gear geeks considering finally taking the Google leap.

Every couple weeks we release a new episode of Critique the Community where Fstoppers members can submit their best images to a genre specific contest for a chance to receive feedback and win a free Fstoppers original tutorial. Do you like seeing things up close, like really, truly up close? What is it about macro work that is so interesting, seeing textures and scenes that are much harder to appreciate using just our eyes? 

Phaidon Press is publishing a book of never-before-seen photographs of Kate Moss from the 1990s. The book entitled “Kate” is a compilation of photographs shot by the model's ex-boyfriend and now, renowned photographer, Mario Sorrenti.  

I find so many photographs today to be technical masterpieces, yet they lack any sense of life. They don't draw the viewer into the photograph or encourage the viewer to spend several moments viewing the photograph.  

The Earth is an amazing place and Earth Science Picture of the Day provides a daily dose of it. So, get your fix and just let yourself go for a moment. 

It won’t be for everyone, but I think it’s something everyone should try at some point: shooting in black and white (monochrome) mode in camera.

A photographer has found an amazingly cool way to capture and honor the art of facial tattoos from the indigenous New Zealand culture the Māori. Using the wet collodion process, the subjects appear to have their ink magically removed in portraits hung next to modern digital photos creating a surreal before and after effect.
