Baker’s Falls

One of my favorite waterfalls in Sri Lanka, Baker’s Falls has a beauty that goes far beyond the waterfall itself.

This landscape was captured from an uncommon angle, looking at the waterfall not simply as a subject, but as part of the surrounding environment. I wanted to include more of the landscape to show what makes this place truly special.

The secret of Baker’s Falls is the cloud forest that surrounds it. The misty atmosphere, dense vegetation, moss-covered rocks, and natural textures create a unique environment that gives the waterfall its character.

For me, the waterfall is only one part of the photograph. The real story is the relationship between falling water and the ancient cloud forest around it.

Sometimes, to capture the true beauty of a waterfall, you need to look beyond the waterfall itself.
