Baker’s Falls – Flow

Baker’s Falls is one of my favorite waterfalls in Sri Lanka, and this photograph is one of the compositions I value most from my waterfall photography.

For this frame, my main focus was the movement and flow of the water. Rather than simply capturing the waterfall as a whole, I wanted to emphasize the way the water travels through the rocks, creating natural lines, shapes, and movement within the frame.

Finding the right composition at a waterfall is always about observing the water carefully where it begins, how it moves, and where the eye naturally follows it.

This photograph is a result of that approach: letting the flow of the water become the main subject of the composition.
