When the Stream Runs Low

I was out searching for beautiful water streams, but the water level was much lower than I expected. Instead of giving up on the location, I decided to move closer to the waterfall and explore the possibilities from a different perspective.

After spending some time looking for the right composition, I found a frame where the remaining flow of water worked beautifully with the surrounding rocks. I set up my tripod and used a long exposure to capture the movement and softness of the water.

Sometimes, the conditions don't give you what you initially came looking for. The challenge is to look at the landscape differently and find another story within it.

This was one of those moments when less water created a completely different composition and the long exposure brought it to life.
