As a landscape photographer, Horton Plains has always been one of my favorite places in Sri Lanka. In my view, it is one of the best landscape photography locations in the country.
I have been photographing Horton Plains since 2006, and over the years I have captured countless frames here. Every visit has brought a different atmosphere, different light, and a different story.
This photograph is especially meaningful to me because it brings back memories of one of my very first photography trips to Horton Plains. Looking at it today is not only about the photograph itself, but also about remembering where my journey with landscape photography began.
Some places become more than locations. They become part of your photographic journey, carrying memories from one visit to the next.
Horton Plains is one of those places for me.
