Ravana Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in Ella, Sri Lanka, and a place that attracts visitors throughout the year.
This photograph was captured at the lower section of Ravana Falls, one of the closest areas where we can safely get near the waterfall. Being closer to the water gives a completely different perspective compared with photographing the falls from a distance.
From this viewpoint, the surrounding rocks, flowing water, and natural textures become a much bigger part of the composition.
For me, exploring different sections of a well-known location is always interesting. Even at a famous waterfall, a different angle can reveal a completely different landscape.
