Today, I bring you a photograph from a familiar place that I hadn't visited in quite some time, Fervenza das Hortas. I believe I've never seen it with such a volume of water, evident from the surroundings showing signs of even higher water levels in preceding days.
It's a location where composing with the entire waterfall while capturing textures in a smaller cascade downstream can be challenging. However, armed with the Irix 11mm Blackstone, I managed to achieve just that. The composition includes both the main waterfall and one of the smaller cascades in the foreground.
Of course, I engaged in a fierce battle with the countless water droplets the waterfalls hurled at me, but in the end, I succeeded in capturing the desired shot. The use of the Irix lens continues to provide new perspectives, making the struggle with nature's elements entirely worthwhile.
