Corn Lily Detail, San Juan National Forest

There was a big patch of corn lilies I had wanted to see, but conditions had always been wrong for me to get the photograph I thought would really tell the story. I was there in early June one year and it was still freezing hard in the high country, which was perfect because these plants wilt and die pretty soon after it gets warm. Toyo 45A, 150mm Sinaron Lens, no filter, Kodak T-Max 400
