After a few weeks exploring the northern coast, it felt like the perfect time to return to the forests and waterfalls of my homeland.
I decided to follow the river upstream to find a different composition from my previous visits. It’s not an easy place to photograph — fallen branches, dense undergrowth, and chaotic elements everywhere — but sometimes that chaos hides the most beautiful frames.
I included the small cascades in the foreground to lead the viewer’s eye toward the main waterfalls in the background, creating a natural flow that mirrors the water’s own movement.
As the sun began to rise, it illuminated the mist hanging above the trees, painting everything with a soft golden glow — a fleeting, magical moment that made the effort worthwhile.
