A modern take on the little black dress, Emily Steel has found a way to make film a fashion statement. This dressed is adorned with film and backed with LED lights that give the effect. The idea was to create a wearable dress that fuses the idea of technology and art. The end result is intriguing to say the least. Check out the images and more details in the expanded post. 

Within the Mission District in San Francisco lies an amazing tintype photography studio called Photobooth. The best part is that you can just walk in and get a tintype portrait for yourself. Co-founder, Michael Shindler, not only talks about how it all got started but gives us a look into the process from start to finish.  Check it out the next time you're in San Francisco! 

'From Love to Bingo in 873 images' is a short video and commercial which moves at 15 images a second. The video shows an entire lifetime depicted through stock images. Copywriter Sophie Schoenburg and art director Marcus Kotlhar spent 6 months making it happen and the end result is quite touching. I can only imagine how arduous going through all those images must have been!

These photos are almost like optical illusions. You won't believe what you're seeing for a while till you look twice. Some of them look downright wrong but thankfully there is a good explanation for each of them! Which ones were your favorite? Take a look and let us know what you think.

18 year old Florence Colgate from Britain won the  'Britain's Most Naturally Beautiful Face' contest. Apparently, it was based on the science of symmetry, width and length of her face, and perfect facial features. Some have even regarded her as the having the World's most perfect face. The square Instagram App icon has become very well known to most of us. What if it was real? The team over at ADR studios rendered what it would look like if the icon became a real camera. Would it be something that you would buy if it was a possibility?

Once you see this fantastic method, you'll be convinced immediately. Thank you Nick, the results worked great on our lenses! 

There is no doubt that Dave Hill is a well known name in the photography community. With his recent collaboration with Sony, here's a behind the scenes look of him switching to the Sony NEX camera system for a reinterpretation of Spiderman. Do you feel that mirrorless is a feasible alternative for the way cameras are headed? 

Color, a simple yet addicting game that will test your patience and vision. In the industry, we deal with color all the time. Everything from shooting to dealing with calibrating screens, color plays a huge role in what we do. The game runs through varying level of difficulty, starting with hue, saturation, complementary colors, and goes up from there. It's very easy to play but hard to master. 

The Photoshop team rolled out a video which showcases some of the direction which Adobe intends to go in the future. It was shot and then edited entirely in a future version of Photoshop. Though the video itself is pretty standard, it's a glimpse of what's to come. Do you believe that Adobe should keep video editing separate from Photoshop? We want to hear your thoughts. 

Only a few times have I ever questioned what I'm doing with my life. This video makes me wonder why I am not pursuing this. This is a remixed trailer of a movie called Les Chevaliers du Ciel, which means, Sky Fighters. Whatever the name, this video showcases some of the cleanest and most captivating footage I've seen from the skies. Owe it to yourself to get lost in this visual feast.

Manipulating photos happened way before Photoshop was around. This series shows before and afters of famous and notable figures before the digital era began. Truly fascinating, you can't help but wonder what level of dedication it took to make these happen.

Even though most of you have shot models before, you may never come across one this thin. Ioana Spangenberg is a Romanian born model that has a 20 inch waist. Not only is she unnaturally thin, but she eats 3 meals a day and snacks in between.

Perhaps the most iconic image by The Beatles, the memorable 'Abbey Road'. Unseen by many, here is the shot taken prior to the shot that we all have come to know and love. What is truly amazing about this image is the innocence of the moment. They are oblivious to the importance of the image which is about to be captured.

This viral video is not as boring as the title of it leads you to believe. With over 3 million views and growing, videographer Juuso Mettälärecords records two fishermen fishing under ice, upside down. This was shot in a beautiful lake in Saarijärvi in Vaala, Finland. The effect is visually impressive.

Last Friday, January 13, 2012, The Washington Post published an HDR photograph on the front page depicting their top story.

Some of the most iconic black and white images of our time, shown colorized by Sanna Dullaway, gives us a glimpse into how these images would have looked had they been taken in full color.

This campaign (shown below), in the January issue of Plus Model Magazine, has stirred up plenty of controversy. With the year just beginning, this may be one of the most controversial campaigns on weight we've seen.

A unique behind the scenes look with Joe McNally shooting a cover story, The Sense of Sight (A National Geographic Production - circa 1992). Talk about a blast from the past. It's great seeing his thought process and work ethic through the entire process. It shows that no matter how old this video is, there's still a lot to be learned from watching the master at work.

Justin de Reuck takes us with him on his job of taking photographs of fighter pilots in flight. Though there is no dialogue, the visual element speaks for itself. Photography is difficult enough as it is, but try doing it under excessive g-force and being upside down! This video makes me want to experience this once in my life. Being in the industry, I know how valuable a photograph is and what it means. It contains memories that can be cherished for years and passed on to generations. We look back at these memories and they are priceless. Often, we wonder if the general public truly feel the same way, especially considering how little some people are willing to pay for quality work.
