Sentinel of Skye

There are places where the world feels as if it’s holding its breath — where land, sea, and sky meet in perfect, silent harmony. Neist Point is one of those places.

Perched on the far western edge of the Isle of Skye, this dramatic cliffside view feels like the very edge of the world. The iconic lighthouse stands defiant at the end of the jagged peninsula, guarding the coast as it has for generations.

That evening, as the sun sank lower, its golden light poured over the cliffs like molten metal, igniting the rugged rock face in hues of amber and fire. Far away, white specks dotted the emerald slopes — sheep grazing calmly, undisturbed by the vastness surrounding them, as if unaware they were perched on the precipice of the Atlantic.

A place that humbles, inspires, and lingers in my mind long after I have left.
