Top 10 WeeklyFstop Photos: Party

Top 10 WeeklyFstop Photos: Party

I had a party, but no one showed up. We made due anyway and came up with a worthy list to get us into next week.

I think everyone was too busy either melting in the heat or partying themselves to get a shot submitted this week. There were only six submissions. This was not going to stop our list from happening. There are some people still using the old hashtag without the theme attached, so that added a few good options. Also, we have an awesome community here using the Fstoppers hashtag on their photos that gave me a bonus pool to select some choice photos from.

Don't forget that if you have an idea for a theme that fits your strength, throw it in the comments. Hope you enjoy our list.

10. Hananiah Aldrich

9. Jimmy Barber

8. Peter Witama

7. Fuji Traveller

6. Marion Santiago

5. Spencer Rawnsley

4. TT Sherman

3. Dave Niedbala

2. Peter Praum

1. Elizabeth Hollis

The color scheme here is great with the green tablecloth and green plants with splashes of pink. The boy's anticipation and joy are evident and something we can all relate to. I also like the balance of the shot.

What Is This Week's Theme and How Do I Enter?

When I first got serious about photography and taking better photos, all I ever wanted to shoot was the sunset. I began paying a lot more attention to the sky and how it would transform into amazing spectacles of light and color with the right conditions and fizzle away to nothing in other conditions. I learned to look for water or reflective surfaces to accentuate the scene. This also works for skies in general and even astrophotography, or as I call it, shooting the stars. So get out there and capture some impressive photos featuring the sky and share your favorite to the theme. Feel free to enter an old shot if you don't have the time to get something new. On Instagram, it is as easy as adding the #WeeklyFstopSky tag in a comment.

Keep your eye out in the next few weeks, I think we may be featuring at least one guest judge.

To enter, simply use the hashtag #weeklyFstopSky on any public Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Flickr post between now and our next weeklyFstop article. Please keep it to one entry per week to keep it fair and less cluttered.
