August challenge - Minimal
I think it might be a good time to return to one of the group's core values this month: minimal photography.
Discuss photography and videography, share your work, and receive valuable feedback from the Fstoppers community.

simple and clean. not sure if this will hold the attention for 1 sec longer but this was the intention, that the viewer would slide up and down and get trapped on the link between 2 worlds.
A stone railing with underlighting, casting light on stairs in black and white. Taken at 50mm F 1.8. I took this one at night in Geneva Switzerland
We vacation almost every year in Brant Lake, New York. I've made a habit or a tradition out of doing a star trail photo at our camp every year.
Savannah just signed with a modeling agency. She wanted to further develop her portfolio so she reach out for a shoot. She is a great "ginger"! She's got red hair and lots of freckles.
This is a photo I submitted for the Unique Lighting contest in May and it fits the challenge for this month.
I have spent some time at the beach and rather than sitting in the sun for extended periods decided to a bit more experimenting.
[I wasn't sure if #4 is NSFW]
I decided just to go for the humor this month.
Getting some practice on my “where art meets architecture” techniques on my parents house. Thoughts? Good, bad, indifferent.
I was onboard the WA State Ferry before sunrise a couple weeks ago and got this shot of sunrise.
I gave the Photoshop/NEO HDR comparison another shot today with a different set of five source images.
Just a couple of old photos taken with a micro 4/3 Olympus. He was nice enough to stick around for a few shots. More fun than good.
Cropped, so the resolution is not great.
In camera multiple exposure but this time, for simplicity, I used a single lens using five exposures rather than two. (can you guess which lens?)
One of the makeup artists I frequently work with recently met Ella. He like her look and thought we should do a fashion shoot. Turns out we went to the same university! She was a child model.
Costa Quebrada Cliffs in Liencres (Spain) This rock formation is well known as the Owl, which presides over this imposing cliff where the Cantabrian Sea unleashes its fury.
Wanted to share a recent photo I took while camping in the mountains of North Carolina along the New River. I do this trip almost every year but I've never done it this time of year.
I wondered if it was possible to take an in-camera double exposure with two separate lenses.
A handheld shot of a TBM 850 civilian aircraft. I composed this image with available light sometime after midnight. Processed in LR with dodge & burn techniques.
July's challenge is quite simple - capturing something that is out of place. This could be something discovered, or a scene fabricated for creative effect.
traveling through the countryside in France .. this sight, to me, is similar to when you drift on the open seas and you spot a palm tree on the horizon
Lila is not a model but a self described "gym rat". She reach out saying she was in the best shape of her life and wanted to basically document it but not with "fitness" photos.
I have just got back from a trip to NYC, where once again I used time whilst walking the streets to try and improve my followICM technique.

It has been quite some time since I ventured into the realm of Fstoppers, but I am excited to be at least somewhat active here again.
Yesterday as I was looking through the kitchen drawer I can across a master lock and I first thought:
This stunning poppy was on its last legs. I've been admiring it for days as I walk past it. However, it's usually been too windy to photography it.
Rather than trying to capture a rather dull sunset, I turned my attention to the beach where the last of the evening light cast a beautiful glow on a line of clouds.
Life is a great journey, made up of encounters, experiences and discoveries.
Starry Nights and Fireflies
A local photography group I belong to had the opportunity to play around with the Omni Creative Filter system from Lensbaby...which so happens to be manufactured locally.
