After a day of trying to get the large waves crashing in front of the lighthouse I resigned myself to the fact that only six footers were going to be the best. The charts showed today would be the best day for the big waves. The wind report, the tide report and wave height were all on point. I along with a hundred or more people had the same idea for the shoot. It turned out to be a sunny( harsh light) day at Cape Disappointment in Washington state. There were a few larger waves but nothing like I had experienced before, I noticed how the sun was lighting up the back of the waves and amplified the green of the water. It was time to try to make lemonade out of lemons . Not the best day at the Cape but enjoyed all the same.
