Nestled among lava flows, this blowhole proved quite a challenge as I had to set the tripod in between the approaching waves to get adequate exposure time for the effect I was after. I had about 8-10 sec of time before I had to pull all gear and make way for the 20' spout of water that would shoot up. My D610 got soaked more than once but survived to tell the tale...along with the curious onlookers watching my antics. Shot at ISO 100, 1/13 sec @ f16 w/ gradient ND - single shot. Minor dodging / burning in Lightroom.
