U.S. Capitol - Oct 2024. This seemingly simple image was made difficult by a series of complications. There was the inconvenience of clouds passing behind the Capitol just as the full moon was rising. There were people everywhere and removing them was not trivial. After I removed them, I realized I had to remove their reflections in the water too - ouch. Ducks were very inconsiderately dipping their heads in the pool and sending ripples over the surface that I didn't notice until later. Most difficult of all was the early construction for the Inauguration on the steps of the Capitol, and it took most of a weekend to digitally remove that, step by step.
